According to a recent report, 12% of U.S. children ages 3 to 17 were reported to have experienced anxiety or depression, or around 39 million kids are suffering from anxiety or depression.

What would you say to future generations of young women who struggle with anxiety and depression? How have you personally learned to cope with the pressure of increasing expectations?

The submission deadline is June 15

Write 200-250 words in response to the prompt:

We live in a society that, incredulously, is confused about what a woman is. This confusion is being propagated in our schools, online, and even in some homes.

What would you say to future generations of young women who may be struggling with their gender identity? How would you encourage them to embrace being a woman?

Email your response by the deadline to the address below. In addition to your text, please include an author photo that could be printed with your article.
